WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP
For daily attendance, being housed, and evening activities
Daily check list:
- Wrestling Shoes
- Running Shoes
- Sack Lunch (provided by host family if being housed)
- Workout Gear (CLEANED DAILY: shorts, shirt, extra clean shirt, singlets optional)
- Water Bottle
- Notebook and pen/pencil (to write down techniques and goals)
Extra Items to bring if you are being housed with a host family:
- Sleeping bag, pad (optional) and pillow
- Shower supplies/personal toiletries
- Extra towel (2 if possible) for water slide and rafting trips
- Additional clean clothing to wear after camp hours each day
- Personal water bottle to use daily
- Additional small bag to take to and from camp daily
- Personal preferred snacks/drinks or specialized grocery items (optional, but recommended to lessen the burden on host families and allow your wrestler to still enjoy the things they like most when away from home.)
- Copy of Heath Insurance Card in case of emergency (recommended)
Duals - additional check list:
- Singlet (Optional)
- Wrestling Shoes
- Water Bottle
- Extra snacks (to stay fueled into the evening)
Big Sky Water Slides - additional check list:
- Swimming shorts/suite
- Towel
- Sun Screen
- Plastic bag for wet gear
- Dry set of clothing to wear on trip home
- EXTRA SNACKS are recommended or funds to purchase food at the facility.
- REMINDER: Do not leave any personal belongings in the locker room at the facility. (Place them with the coaches or in a locker (bring your own lock or rent one).
Glacier Park Rafting - additional check list:
- Shoes that stay securely on your feet (not your running or wrestling shoes). NO FLIP FLOPS or unsecured sandals.
- For a warm weather forecast shorts and a t-shirt are suitable (75 º and warmer)
- For a cold weather forecast (70 º and cooler) you will want a sweater (fleece or wool are recommended), wind/rain pants and a hat/beanie. Splash tops, wet suits, and neoprene wet socks can be provided if the weather requires it.
- A change of dry warm clothes is recommended. (These along with all other personal belonging should be left on the bus during the actual raft trip and can be accessed after getting off the river.)
- Helmets and life vests are provided by the rafting company.
- EXTRA SNACKS for the trip are highly recommended to stay fueled into the evening. Dinner is provided following the trip down the river.
